Passionate Friday?

Si amici...I missed my Passionate Mondays post, but alas we must be flexible! I encourage you all to be passionate today, Friday, instead. Oh, I know it's a stretch, but reach, you can do it!

I am nursing a very bad cold, and even with a cold I feel passionate today. It may not be a sexy passionate as my focus is on garlic, red hot chili peppers (the food, not the band), oranges, lemons, tea, soup, blankets, kleenex and good books. All of which are curing what ails me.

Besides those passions, this week I got very passionate about networking and exchanging ideas. It is amazing what happens when you connect people with others, or your ideas with others and when synergy happens. That is happening in my life right now and what I see is that when you plant seeds of ideas, some grow, and some grow in ways you could never have imagined.

Since I have to resume nursing myself back to health, I want to throw the question out there to all of you: what are you currently passionate about? Do tell, as I need some exciting things to read about!

Aw, you poor thing - I hope you'll soon be feeling very much better - take lots of zinc - it's a sure fire way to kill off the bugs by supporting the immune system.

As for what I'm currently passionate about - my current manuscript - it's just got me so excited. And aside from that, my passion for vanilla has been renewed and I've been using pure vanilla extract in savoury as well as sweet dishes - came up with a thoroughly decadent tomato sauce the other day with vanilla in it!

Be better soon - sending you strength and healing vibes.

Vanilla - thank you for the zinc advice and well-wishes.

Vanilla in tomato sauce?!!! I trust you when you say it was good, I'm just having a hard time imagining it. I love wearing vanilla scents - it's my favorite.

And I'm currently passionate about my big site re-do... Unfortunately, nothing I can share. I'm so wrapped up in it I forget to do half the stuff I'm supposed to... Or is that being just too self-absorbed... hmmmm
Maybe I need to step back!
Find a good book, glass of red, nice blankie and nurse yourself back to geed health!

Ciao Jeni! I sure hope you are feeling better today as it is Sunday, but I will still tell you the things I am passionate about today...
I am passionate about
the sweet smell of my newborn sons' fuzzy little head, the soft spot in it that begs for kisses,
his strong grip and tiny fingers,
the precious smiles he is learning to make...
I am passionate about my ten year old sons' songs to his baby brother, the way he rocks him to sleep.
I am passionate about my eldest son at age 12, how he gushes on about how in love he is with his baby brother, and how he will protect him always.
And last but not least, today I am passionate about pranzo alla casa dei nonni (lunch at grandparents' house) where we will be welcomed with open arms and fed delicious Northern Italian cuisine. Even our dog will be spoiled rotten. And this means I get a break from cooking, something which these days I really appreciate!. ;)

Oddly now I'm passionate about my home life, travel, blogging, etc. A big change from my life a few years back( work, board works, socialstuff, the fast lane ,etc).A total slow down. Maybe it has to with my partner. There is so much we are looking forward together.

You have no idea the difference the vanilla made to the tomato sauce - gave it a kind of velvety luxurious - and it was only two teaspoons, one during cooking, one at the end of cooking - you should give it a try! :-)
